Chapter 12

“I will be there to send you both off,” said Janvi. Everyone was happy. After a few minutes, Rajat and Rahul left, and the day went peacefully for Janvi. Early the next day Shilpa got a reminder call from Rahul to meet him at the airport. Janvi and Shilpa reached the airport at 1 pm, they met Rajat and Rahul. Janvi remembered meeting Rajat for the 1st time at the Delhi Airport, and she smiled. “What got that smile on your face?” questioned Rajat. “Our 1st meeting and of course Rahul's heinous request”. “Yeah” laughed Rajat. “Aare… it might have been silly then… but remember it's my idea what you guys are following now?” said Rahul. “Agreed dude you are the mastermind behind everything,” said Rajat. “You guys carry on, I will be back in a while,” said Rahul and walked away with his girlfriend. 

After a few seconds of silence, Janvi asked “what do I say if our parents call?”. “We will say once we find a job in the same city we will move back together,” said Rajat. “Cool and don't forget to call me once you talk to the lawyer” replied Janvi. 

Rajat looked deep into Janvi's eyes and said “the reason for me to hate a girl, to hate marriage everything was just a lie…. looking at your love for Wilson has made me respect you a lot more… i- uh… why would I want to divorce you?” questioned Rajat. Janvi looked at him in shock “stop kidding. “we have mutually agreed to part our ways, in fact, that is why we married each other” she said. “But I know now that the reason behind my hatred was all wrong…. I know I should’ve at least attempted to find out the other side of the story and I regret it now”. said Rajat. “I understand But my reason is genuine and no man in this world can replace my Wilson” replied Janvi angrily. 

Rahul and Shilpa came “Chalo… I should board the flight now. Rajat has another hour,” he said and hugged his girlfriend and Rajat and he shook hands with Janvi and left… “Shilpa let's go,” said Janvi looking at her friend “but I have another hour” replied Rajat. Janvi spoke nothing. Shilpa took a little walk as she received a call. “I feel Wilson is the one that choose me for you, if not why do you think I met him… it's all God's plan”. “Stop with this crap Rajat… I am not liking it one bit!” yelled Janvi everyone looked at them Shilpa came running to Janvi and asked, “Rajat what happened? What did you say to her? Why is she upset?”. “Chill Shilpa…. I was actually telling my wife that I kinda like her and that I am not ready to give her a divorce” Shilpa was awestruck by Rajat's sudden proposal to Janvi... “well…Did I say anything wrong?” he asked Shilpa “Absolutely not” she replied, a smile slowly creeping up her face. Janvi was irritated she scurried away from there and Shilpa decided to let her go. “Rajat I want to talk to you”. “yes we can” replied Rajat. 

“Janu has gone through a lot in her life. Now all I want to know is just how serious you are about this. I would be the happiest person in the world if you guys get together because definitely, she needs a good future…. not to sit and crib about her past”. “I can give her that, I will keep her happy until my last breath” he replied looking at janu who was walking away. “but..uhh… why the sudden change? questioned Shilpa. 

“I refused to accept the fact that all coins have 2 sides. when I got to know Janvi was his girlfriend I just wanted to kill her. But now that I know the real story behind his death, the little crush I had on her is growing into something bigger I guess”. “I didn't get you” replied a curious Shilpa. “The very first day…. when I saw her in the Delhi Airport I felt something…. A spark went off in me….and after that every time I met her I had a strange feeling in my gut… but every time I thought of moving further my feeling towards her Wilson’s face would flash before my eyes. I thought it was a sign from Wilson, telling me not to trust girls. And now that I know the truth my feelings for her overpowered my ego” replied Rajat. “You have no idea how happy I am,” said Shilpa jumping with joy and abruptly stopping “bu-but then Janvi will not accept you, I mean there is no place for men in her life”. “I feel it was Wilson who choose me for her and I have all the confidence that one day she is going to love me the same way she loved Wilson,” said Rajat with confidence in his eyes. Shilpa said “I hope and pray that day comes soon” she received a call from Janvi, “where the hell are you? You gonna come or should I leave?”. “Nope Janu I am coming… wait a minute. Looks like she is very upset with your proposal” said Shilpa “I know and yeah don't try to advise her to accept me or anything like that…. she might feel offended… just give her some time, and I will take care of it”. Shilpa nodded in agreement and bid goodbye to Rajat.

As advised by Rajat, Shilpa spoke nothing to Janvi about it and started going to work. It was mid of the week. Janvi heard the doorbell ring, she opened the door and was shocked to see Rajat. “You? Wha-How did you come here? When did you come?” Questioned Janvi. “Well Mrs Janvi Rajat, let me relax for a while and then answer your questions,” he said and walked in with his luggage.
