Chapter 15

"I don't think I said anything wrong, you are officially my wife, aren't you?" shouted Rajat in anger "but we married to divorce not to live together" argued Janvi. "But we're not yet divorced! Some fool will propose you and you expect me to sit quietly and watch? Yelled Rajat. "Why is that bothering you? Who are you to me? Firstly why did you even come back here?"Janvi shot questions after questions. Rajat realised he was too harsh due to his over protectiveness and possessiveness. He calmed down and said "chill Janvi, I was there just to check on you. You were late and I didn't wanted to bother you guys, I was just there to make sure you were alright. But when he started troubling you I thought I should step in. He went over the line when he grabbed your arm and I couldn't control myself after that". "That is all fine, my question is why did you say I am your wife?". "I am sure he will keep pestering you if I had not said that, nothing intentional" said Rajat, janvi seemed to be a little convinced.

Rajat stopped the car, "what is it now?" asked Janvi "come on let's have an ice cream!" he said. "I just had some coffee and I don't feel like eating ice cream" "but I want to, come on!" he said and parked the car. . . They both went into baskin robins. Rajat ordered 1 death by chocolate "let's share this" he said but didn't get any response from Janvi. Rajat said "look, I didn't come because I suspect you, I knew he was going to trouble you for sure and, see your safety is more important to me that's it" Janvi looked at him sharply, grabbed the ice-cream from his hand and started eating. Rajat at there quietly admiring her. "Stop staring at me! I am going to finish this and you can order another one for yourself". "Not required seeing you eating gives me more satisfaction!" he said

They were driving back home, Rajat exclaimed "oh my god how did I even forget!" Janvi jumped in her seat "what happen Rajat? What did you forget? Did you forget something in the ice cream shop?". "Nope not that I forgot about our challenge. . . Do you remember? Michael proposed you just like I told you he would!hahaha!" Janvi spoke nothing, "now accept you lost the challenge, you had so much confidence in your friend right!" Rajat laughed out loud. . . "Okay, you are right and I agree I lost. . . I never expected that idiot would propose me but how did you guess so correctly?" Questioned Janvi. "Very simple, when a man likes a girl, just with another man's mannerism he will know their intention" and he looked at Janvi. trying to change the topic she said "okay I lost. . . . now tell me what you want". "hmmmm, I am not gonna ask for anything now, I will when the time comes" replied Rajat.  

Days and months passed, Rajat was always loving and caring. They both understood each other's likes and dislikes. . .  

It was close to 5 months since they started living together now. . . Janvi received a call from Shilpa, "hey Janu how are you doing? Sorry got a little busy so couldn't meet you last week" said Shilpa "no worries! I had been on a small trip with Rajat", she replied. "Oh that's great!, how is Rajat doing?" Asked Shilpa. "He is the sweetest, and you know what Shilpa, the way he talks to me, takes care of me, especially his possessiveness is just like Wilson". "Oh really? but who cares after all he is Rajat, not your Wilson. Since you Guys have been together for close to 6 months now, I think now you can apply for divorce adviced" Shilpa. . . Janvi fell quiet for sometime. "Shilpa my battery is going to die, I'll talk to you later" and disconnected the call. Janvi was lost, she was blank. on the other side, Rajat who was beside Shilpa the whole time said "thanks Shilpa!". "It's my pleasure I am sure you already have a place in her heart, just ask her to sign the divorce papers, let's see what she's got to say".

Rajat reached home, Janvi who always would be excited to see Rajat back home, did not even smile that day. "Are you okay?" Asked Rajat, "yes I am fine" replied Janvi without even looking at his face "you don't look okay to me! Anyway, I have something for you which is definitely gonna make you smile!" he said and gave divorce paper in Janvi's hand. "I have already signed it. once you sign the paper we can go ahead and process our divorce". She looked up at Rajat, her eyes filled with tears. "Oh my god look, tears of joy, you are so happy to leave me aren't you?" Said Rajat walked into their bedroom.  

He had a little smirk on his face, he had a feeling that Janvi started liking him. Janvi entered their bedroom "what have you planned after our divorce?" Asked Janvi "I will marry someone else!" Janvi looked at Rajat, eyes wide in shock he said "yes Janu all I learnt from you is marriage and ofcourse girls are not bad! so I will definitely find a life partner for myself and I wish you too find someone!", Janvi stared at Rajat and he smiled awkwardly saying "Ok I am sorry shall we eat I am hungry".

Janvi served food for Rajat and she didn't feel like eating, she told Rajat that she isn't hungry and went to their room. After dinner Rajat came to the bedroom and he saw Janvi sitting their looking at the divorce paper. "what are you thinking about? here is the pen" said Rajat. . . Janvi took pen from Rajat kept it on the paper, her hands were shaking, her eyes crying and her heart throbbing. Rajat lifted up her face, "why the tears? Isn't this what you wanted?" "Looks like you already found a girl who is ready to marry you?" Questioned janvi. "No I will not marry anyone" replied Rajat. there was an instant glow in Janvi's face, with curiosity she asked "why?" And Rajat said because "I love you. . . " Do you remember the bet? when you met your friend Michael? Now, I will tell you what I want. I need you Janu, if not as a wife atleast as a friend". He held her hands "never leave me. I've grown to love you so much, I don't think I can bare the pain" he said. . . Janvi kept looking at Rajat with tears flowing like a River. Rajat shook her by her shoulders and yelled "say something!" but he got no response Rajat pulled her close to him and hugged her. "I love you please don't leave me" he whispered into her ear, hugging her tighter.

Janvi struggled to come out of his grip and said "Wilson sacrificed his life for me, how can I accept you and live a happy life?" Questioned Janu without even looking up at him, she continued "He always said be it this life or any other we are meant to be together". "Wilson would want nothing but to see you happy, Just once look into my eyes and you will get the answer" said Rajat. . . They both looked into each other's eyes for few seconds Janvi hugged Rajat tight and sobbed uncontrollably. "Will you be with me forever?" asked Rajat, "yes!!" replied Janvi.
