Me as a Kid.

Me as a Kid.

I'm a teenager right now, and I long to be younger again. My parents often tell me teenage years are the best years of your life. But I think it would be the seven-year-old kids' lives that are supposed to be the most fun. I remember as a seven-year-old, I would like to stay up at night, while my parents would scream at me to go to bed. Nowadays, with all the schoolwork of eighth grade, and extra studies, I am forced to stay up sometimes, when I really want to go to bed. How the tables have turned!

As a seven-year-old, all my friends and I spoke about was Doraemon and Shinchan and Barbies and Superman and Batman. I didn't like Batman or Superman or the superheroes, but I had to do it for the sake of my friends. But nowadays it feels like most of my friends are interested in gossip. I really don't like to gossip, but I have to do it for their sake (again).

As a kid, I could also spend hours playing games with friends, like tag, kho-kho and all, but now, all I do for entertainment is Netflix and Chill, and spend time with myself.

I also used to scold my mom for watching too much of FaceBook and WhatsApp, but years later, I've understood that those types of things are very addicting. Since I created my first group with a bunch of school friends in fourth grade.

I'm sure many people my age and older have gone through these changes, and please know, it's completely normal. It's just you being a little kid and later a young teen.
