Okay, I've never written anything in this diary my mom bought me for my 10th birthday; except, now I have. Today was one of the most maniacal days I've ever had. I was watering my plants and then suddenly the water hose slipped out of my hand and started moving in weird directions. Before I could catch the hose, it had already landed on my neighbour, Mrs Burton's porch. Now, Mrs Burton is no friendly neighbourhood neighbour. When she saw the hose flooding her porch, she stormed out of her house in a bathrobe and started yelling at me. She had been yelling at me for the past 15 minutes when she stopped because her throat was all dried out. She went inside to get a sip of water. While she was inside, I ran as fast I could and grabbed the hose off her porch. But before I could go and hide in my house, she came back and threw her slipper at me. That was it.

I stormed to her and ranted to her about how mean she was. She grew more furious for every second that I continued ranting. I stopped ranting when my mom interrupted me and asked me what was all the madness about. I told her my version of the story and then Mrs Burton told her version of the story. My mom asked me to apologize to Mrs Burton which I thought was ridiculous. I apologized because if I didn't I knew my mom would give me an hour-long speech on how we should respect our elders. Honestly, I've heard the speech lots of times so I wasn't keen on hearing it again. Mrs Burton said she would never forgive me and stormed off into her house.

Even though my mom knew Mrs. Burton is always exaggerating things, she grounded me for a whole month. She told me she was taking away my phone for 3 days. As if that's going to prevent the hose from going all crazy on Mrs Burton's porch. If you ask me, I'd give today a -10/10.
