LIFE OF A HORSE- SHORT AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Now, that I am old and stiff in the joints, I would like to recall my past, resting in the stable. 

I was born in a beautiful farm. My mother was a cute white mare. I was pure white in colour and I was named HANK by my master's daughter. My childhood was the happiest period of my life. I was pampered by all every time and hence, I had no work to do. I enjoyed basking under the sun, nibbling tender and sweet grass. I often used to take my master's daughter to a ride. She was like an expert in horse-riding despite her age and cared for me a lot. When I grew up, I was given training to take part in several races. I won various races and kept on adding trophies to my showcase. He was really very proud of me.

It was announced that the INDIAN DERBY RACE would be held after one week. My master gave me utmost training and me fit. But something happened unexpectedly, I hurt my leg. My master was really upset and mournful. He felt as his dreams were shattered. I also didn't want to eat fodder gradually and felt very low. The best veterinary doctor was called and he made me feel a little better. I didn't lose hope and tried to cope up. After all, I had to participate not for me but for my master. I got my confidence back and participated in my race though my master didn't want me to do so. Finally, I achieved the 3rd rank. It wasn't like my other victories but my master had tears of joy. He and his daughter hugged me and we all were euphoric. I couldn't ever forget this incident of my life and that was the PRIME of my life.

Now, I have grown much older and I am to no use of my master. Nor can I run fast neither help him in carrying much loads and travelling. Still, my master introduces me to everyone with full of pride. I am leading a peaceful life watching and enjoying the younger horses grow up!
