Once upon a time there was a village named Ahiyas which was situated near a dense forest. A middle-class colonial family was living which immigrated from Indonesia about a century ago. Gradually the forefathers of that family accustomed themselves with the location. Notwithstanding they were Buddhist, they did follow the principles of Hinduism. Basically, that family was vegetarian. The headman of the family was maintaining patriarchy system in his family whose name was Bulan. His wife was a teacher in an English medium school situated at the suburban area nearby. Her name was Citra. The Buddhist couple have two issues. One son and one daughter whose names were Banyu and Buana respectively. Both son and daughter had adopted Lectureship, as their profession in a distant urban area. Only they were plying to home during the long vacations. As their work fields were in the same location, they were staying in the same rented house unitedly happily. Above all Citra, Banyu and Buana were liberal by nature they dislike conservatism unlike Bulan, the family headman and the guardian of the family consisting of four members only. So, he was being treated as an eccentric fellow by his wife, son and daughter as they are prone to adapt themselves in Modern Indian atmosphere.
Once during a summer vacation, the family members visited to a Monastery situated inside the forest lived. A monk named Universal Saint was the Abbot of the Monastery. He had forty male and thirty female disciples who were strictly following him. Abbot and his followers were living happily by practicing spiritualism within the serene and peaceful natural surroundings. Citra Banyu and Buana were extremely enchanted by the disciplines and administration of the Monastery. So, they requested the Abbot Monk to accept them as his disciples and to allow them to build a house beside the Monastery. The Abbot was pleased to allow them to do the same.
During the course of action for raising a building of their own inside the forest often they were plying there for supervision. The trio, mother son and daughter were becoming inspired by the spiritual teaching of the Saint Abbot. His teachings and advice were only based on humanism and sense of human value irrespective of cast, creed and colour. Simple living and higher thinking accompanied with proper physical and mental health. After a few months the construction work of the building was completed.
At Ahiyas the family members of Bulan, were very much disgusted with the dominant and rude behavior of Bulan towards them with his conservative outlook. Citra, Banyu and Buana requested Bulan to live a compatible life with them by changing his nature and old conservative attitudes so as to continue a polished living. But Bulan, the father-husband-cum- dominant headman of the family was so obstinate that he was quite unable to compromise with his family members. Hence an unfavorable situation was created at home due to family squabbles regularly. Eventually wife, son and daughter of Bulan were bound to abandon him alone at Ahiyas. Then they, trio, determined to reside at their new monasterial house inside the forest for ever and to pay a courtesy visit to Ahiyas to look after Bulan occasionally if the situation would persist. Besides their professional careers the trio family members of Bulan began to spend a spiritual as well as an idealistic human life after getting themselves rid of Bulan's clutch.
