Hi Readers, I am coming with a story after a long time and I am very happy about it. So as all of you know Republic Day is coming, so for that, I brought to you a patriotic story and I hope you will like and appreciate it a lot.

There is a good saying - "I am Indian, I am Proud of it". Indian life is mythologically rich and powerful. Since the independence of our motherland from British Rule, India has come a long way in terms of economics, cultural and political developments. The land on which we stand today has given birth to great world-famous leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, Maulana Abdul Kalam, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and so many respectable persons.

There are so many reasons to describe why I am proud to be an Indian. It's a vast course to mention or justify properly this topic.

Every country has its moments of pride and periods of downfall. Our leaders have been known for their willpower, commitment, non-violence and for this we got independence from our nation. This specially made me proud and feel immense pleasure in my heart.

My motherland has given a lot to the world- the number zero, the decimal system, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, Sanskrit (the mother of all languages), Ayurveda, chess and many more.

Once Albert Einstein said, "We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without this no scientific discovery could have been made". This saying means a lot for the feeling of immense pleasure.

Being an Indian has a special status of honour and dignity in the eyes of the world. The culture, tradition, living style, dress up, religion, language, festivals can't be compared with other nations. Unity in Diversity is fulfilled only in our country. Despite differences, we stay united and feel proud to be called Indians. For this, there is a good saying-

"Carried with care, coated with pride, Dipped in love, fly in glory, Moments of freedom in shade of joy, proud to be an Indian".

I am proud to be an Indian because India is the largest democracy in the world, in which we have the freedom to speak, write and protest against evil doings.

Our India is a land of holy rivers, beautiful mountains, a great ancient civilization, rich tradition, heritage, culture, industry, science and technology. As we know that our nation lives in poverty, still this country is progressing in different fields but we have more to do.

India is a country of love, care and affection. In any other part of the world, we can't find this. In today's world of selfishness, we in India still respect our elders, care for our mates and traditional culture. Only in India, all the Indians are brothers and sisters is believed and followed. Thus, I feel very proud and lucky to be an Indian.

The Indians respect our national flag or tricolour, which stands as a symbol of our freedom. By seeing this tricolour, my heart feels so proud that I can't express it.

For the above sayings, I have tons of reasons to love my country but the most important thing is that I love my country and I need no reasons for it.

Lastly, in my opinion, it may be the result of good in my previous birth that I am an Indian now.

"Let's enjoy some lives

Freedom in Mind, Faith in the words

Pride in our souls, Feeling proud as an Indian".

Let's salute the nation on our 73rd Republic Day.

Jai Hind !  Vande Mataram !
