Muni was so much happy with her husband Madan. Both were leading a joyful conjugal life. She was like a scarce treasure for her husband and he wanted to satiate all her desires with his hard labour. They had a small hut in the interior forest amidst the green canopy and the landscape was embracing green luster and ample pristine beauty. Muni loved to relish the cold breeze keeping her head on her husband's shoulder. They had no needs and luxuries in their life. Madan was a wood cutter and they were rejoicing their life with the meagre income. Muni was so much worried for a baby but despite her all austerities she was deprived of the pleasure of getting motherhood. Madan had never tried to exaggerate her pain raising his demand as she loved Muni as a mad. Muni had peerless beauty. She had no ornaments but still her beauty had no missing. But she had a weakness for red bangles which were available in the town. They had a beautiful life embracing cold breeze, pure environment and tranquility of the forest. No one was there to interrupt their peace.
Once Muni was sitting with her pale face on the veranda of their hut. Madan asked her about her worries and she wept so bitterly as she had broken her red bangles unknowingly. Hearing this Madan said, " Don't worry my dear. I will buy a new pair for you from the town." He hugged her and said she was the mere reason for his living. She became happy and smiled listening tothe sweet words from her husband.
Next morning , Madan woke up at the daybreak and was getting ready to go to town to buy bangles for his dear Muni. But she was so much sad on that day as her heart was trembling with unknown fears. She opposed him to go but he suddenly gripped her hands and kissed. He said so lovingly, " Your love can save me from all troubles of life." But Muni was not happy for the apprehension as she loved Madan more than her life.
Madan went to the town without delaying for a nano second. He was so much excited for purchasing her wife's bangles. He purchased a pair of red bangles from a shop and a red colour saree too to make her wife much happy. He was so much exhausted by the rays of scorching summer sun and he drank some water from a water tape while he was walking over the road and he drenched the napkin and put that on his head to beat the grueling heat. But suddenly a group of people came from a car and kidnapped him without saying anything. Madan was screaming help! help! but no one responded. Muni was just sleeping on the bed without doing anything. Nothing seemed her well. She was so much bothered for her husband but she could not do anything. She was frequently going outside to check but there was no sign of Madan. Day passed away and the night came. But Muni could not listen a word from Madan. She was crying helplessly but no one was there to help her. The kidnappers locked Madan in a room as their work was to kidnap innocent people and employ them in antisocial activities. Madan was crying severely reminiscing Muni's love and aggravating worries for her. But he had the belief that he would definitely go back to her and he meticulously kept the bangles and saree.
Three days passed away. Muni was like a dead body without eating and drinking a drop of water. She was only crying for her husband. Madan was also not taking food. The people were torturing him so mercilessly. He was so much weak. Muni thought she would go to town and search her husband. Despite her weakness she moved towards town to return her husband. That night no one was there in Madan' room. He thought that was the best time to escape him. He stealthily came out and ran so speedily towards his village and he had brought the bangles and saree with him for his wife.
Muni was walking alone without sitting anywhere. She was confident that she would definitely return back her husband. Her breathing process was not normal. Despite her strenuous effort she could not move owing to her weakness. She sat under a banyan tree to regain her breath and became senseless. The banyan tree was at the last of the village as that was the entrance to the town. Madan was running towards his village with all excitement to see his wife.
Moon was there on the sky. Muni was lying under the banyan tree and her dry face was dazzling by the rays of moon and stars. When Madan was crossing the tree he noticed someone was lying there and he suddenly rushed to that place and when he turned the face he could not believe himself and unknowingly gave out agonising cry with extreme pain and desperation and couldn't decide what he should do. She was his dear Muni. He suddenly lifted her with his hands and rushed to the village hospital and Muni was breathing slowly. He was feeling as he had no life and pleaded the doctors to treat his wife. Tears were rolling down from his eyes. Recognising his sorrow doctor instantly treated his wife. Madan was sitting near her being sleepless.
The next morning Muni was mumbling Ma... da...n... Madan came and hugged his wife tightly and shouted Muni! Muni! When she opened her eyes she saw her husband and she also clasped him and wept severely expressing her pain and strain for her husband. A cuckoo was singing on the branch of a mango tree. Sun was becoming bright. Both were looking at each other and smiling with unprecedented joy as they had got everything in their life. Muni's joy knew no bound when she saw the red bangles and saree. They came to their small hut.
Madan told everything to Muni and said emotionally, " Your love can save me from all troubles of life." Muni was so much happy accumulating immense pleasure as she was wearing the new saree and bangles. Madan was enjoying her happiness and beauty silently. Again the Almighty united two innocent souls.
