This story is about two persons Ram and Arjun. Ram belongs to a middle-class family in Vizag. Ram always had issues with his father as his father doesn't allow him to do things that his friend's fathers allow them to. After graduating, Ram wanted to go with his friends to the mandi, so he asked his father; his father said no to him as soon as he completed saying. Ram was in a lot of pain. He told his friends that he wouldn't come. It's night; Ram eats his dinner and gets ready to go to bed. Before sleeping, he cried a lot without his parents knowing. Ram is furious at his father.
Arjun is well settled, and he lives well in Mumbai. Arjun is married to Sneha, and they had a son. Arjun has given all to his son, yet his son is not satisfied. One day, Arjun's son asked him that he would like to go to goa with his friends after the 10'th class exam. Arjun said no to him as soon as he completed saying. Arjun felt bad for saying no to his son. Arjun's son argued a lot, but Arjun disagrees. Sadly, his son left crying. It's night; everyone had dinner at the dining table and went to bed. Arjun's wife Sneha asked him he should have sent him to goa. Arjun spoke back, I wish I could send him, but many cases are registered that children less than 16 are missing, so it seemed to me that sending now was not so safe. Sneha says that their son is crying a lot in his room. Arjun was very upset when he heard this.
Days passed like that; Ram has reached the age of marriage. Ram was in love with Priya; she works in his company. Ram wanted permission from his father to marry Priya, so he asked him. His father got angry when he saw Ram asking this. Ram's father shouted and scolded Ram. It was the first time when Ram raised his voice against his father. Ram started to say, as a kid, I asked you to allow me to go to mandi with my friends, but you didn't. Do you know how much sadness I felt that night? This is not the first time Dad hurt me so often, Yet I can't stay in this house anymore. I'll leave this house and marry Priya. Dad, I always have massive respect for you, but you should also value my feelings. Sorry, Dad, I'm leaving your home; call me if you need anything.
Arjun, Sneha are becoming old. It was time for their son to get married, so they are looking for a suitable girl. One day their son tells them that he is in love with a girl. He argues with Arjun that it wouldn't be good to marry him with that girl. Sneha gets angry and yells at their son. Arjun stops Sneha. Son, let the three of us talk about it.
It was evening, and three were in the balcony. Arjun started talking. Son, I know what you are thinking. Do you know your grandfather? His son said, no, I don't know him. "okay, I'll say about him," Arjun said. Arjun started saying, "When I was a kid, I asked your grandfather that I'll go out for an outing he said no to me I was so angry at him, when I came to your age same like you, I told my dad that I loved your mom, but Grandfather didn't accept our relationship first, then I got angry, and I left the house saying If you want anything, call me, years passed but he didn't call me. After 2 years, I got a call from Vizag that my father passed away. I was shocked; first, I suffered, but the tears didn't roll out. I went to my home in Vizag. I cried when I saw my father like that; I was so sad that I left my father alone. I did all the poojas that are to be done. On the way back to Mumbai, I found a diary after settling all the properties in Vizag. I saw a letter in that diary.
How are you? Forgive me for bothering you. I was alone in this house when you left me. Son, do you know why I said no to your marriage? The girl you referred to was from the higher community; I thought after your wedding, you might face insults as I faced by marrying your mother. You might not have anyone for you if this marriage happens. My intention is not to hurt your feelings. Son, I have had a stroke twice. I'm scared that I may pass away without seeing your children, so please come and take me. I hope you would forgive me,
"From your dad, who always made you cry."
Tears are coming from Arjun's eyes; Sneha is wiping them. Sneha started, Son, after our marriage, both our families didn't accept our relationship; we were tagged as impure persons, so we have come to Mumbai. "Son, you do not know, but there are some reasons why we were harsh," Arjun said. It's all for your good. 'Dad, what is your full name.' 'Son, my name is Arjun Ram Singh you mother's name is Sneha Priya Singh.'
Each has two sides to it. Those who love us don't scold us for no reason; it is for our good if they are doing so. The moments we spend with our parents are so precious that we should not spoil them under any circumstances. Again, there is no point in suffering when there are not there.
Though both were the same, they are different persons.
