A daughter from a reputed cultivator family who was a graduate and has four brothers. She got married to a boy who was in their close relation. Her husband was a teacher in a school in the village which was a stone’s throw from a native place. He had also irrigated land. The family was very well-to-do. They had two daughters and three sons. His elder daughter got married to an engineer in the state government irrigation department. She was the granddaughter of a cultivator family having four maternal uncles. A newly married couple was enjoying it and they were quite happy. They had two daughters and a son. His elder daughter completed her post-graduation in science. She got married to a software engineer. Her father was very energetic and ambitious. He dreamed that his son should be at least an M.B.B.S doctor in his life. As per his plan, he built his own house cum hospital. His son was a very mischievous, naughty boy in his infancy. Whenever he got spare time, he used to start his foolish activities. But, if he provided any book just for reading, he would not leave that book until the completion of the last page of the book. Action speaks louder than words. Thereafter, he would restart his activities as usual. This was his very good habit. He passed the higher secondary school examination of the state with flying color. He passed the with merit a competitive examination for medical as well as engineering. He kept both options open for his parent. He was the obedient son of the parent. He went for medical to fulfill his parent’s dream. He did his post-graduation in two fields, Diabetology, and ENT. He also did an additional course for cancer.
His younger sister was very beautiful and brilliant like him. She also jumped on the bandwagon. She completed her MBBS and doing medical practice in the city. Her parent intended that she should get married before his brother. There was a very long discussion on this matter within the families and maternal uncles of her mother. She argued that his brother was elder than her so that he should get married first. She was actually avoiding her marriage for her own hidden goal. A bird in hand is worth two birds in the bush. At last family members surrendered themselves in front of her argument and took a rigid stand in favor of her. His elder brother got married to the lady doctor of his community. After her marriage, she was forced to get married at the earliest as his father was
a heart patient. She was Mumbo –jumbo on this marriage proposal. She was doing her practice sincerely. Parents thought that she either wanted to marry a boy of her choice or she didn’t want to marry soon. She was of the opinion that a proposal of her chosen life partner for marriage would not be accepted by the family and nearest relatives of her community. She thought that haste makes waste. She knew that the community was very rigid on inter-cast marriage. It was her delaying tactics. But there was pressure on her from the family of the bridegroom.

He told that his son and his daughters were class-met and best close friends too during their entire medical education. Nobody objected to the proposal looking at trend and need of the hour. There were all doctors in the family of a concerned boy. They had their own hospital in the city. He discussed this matter with his father-in-law and mother-in-law. You may lead the horse to the water. but, you cannot make it drink. Looking at the gravity of the situation. They thought that it would be better to give consequently otherwise their granddaughter would not marry the other. Out of sight, out of mind, since the proposal was from topmost caste of the four-tier system which was a matter of real botheration. How their girl would manage with slightly different super cast family in future. Every cloud has a silver lining. Her father accepted this proposal by keeping stone on his heart. She got married. Both the families seemed to be happy. The daughter made a delay in her decision as a Good thing happened with those who wait.
