I was in the first year of my college and as I watched Rudra uncle helping and saving others from dark eerie shadows, I thought to go in for Psychology. I planned to study Occult, demonology. The interest was as if inbuilt within me since childhood, despite my parents stopping me from studying Psychology and study medicine rather I filled out the form for the section I was passionate about.

I was an explorer and adventurer in soul and heart and had excellent dreams about the future.

However, the first year in my college hostel turned out to be a nightmare.

The air in the City Boy's hostel was thick with whispers, not from ghosts, as legend claimed, but from my friend, Rakesh. He was skeptical to the core and scoffed at the rumors of the ghostly reputation of our hostel vowing to prove the truth, "Spirits or Ghosts do not exist".

While the other boys cowered under the sheets, he stalked the halls and corridors, scoffing at creaking floorboards and flickering lights.

One stormy night he ventured into the abandoned wing, armed with his phone and flashlight, his laughter echoed down the corridor - frantic, disbelieving. Then suddenly the walls, once silent, echoed with a mournful wail that night.

The next morning, we found him sprawled at the foot of the stairs, his eyes wide with a chilling terror, his phone clutched in his lifeless hand, a single word frozen on the screen: "Run." The attic door, inexplicably, was locked from the inside. Rakesh's ghost hunt ended in a chilling silence, the truth buried in the shadows with him, trapped within those walls.
