Incomplete Story
The monsoon painted the world in hues of grey and green.
The gentle caress of summer gave way to the tempestuous embrace of the rains. It's a time when the hills don their greenest cloak, and the air is filled with the intoxicating scent of wet earth. It was in this ethereal backdrop that their paths first intertwined. Jasmine, a free-spirited artist, and Roy, a brooding writer, were both drawn to the allure of the hill station, a place whispered to be untouched by the mundane.
Their first encounter was under the sudden onslaught of rain. Jasmine, caught nature’s sudden embrace, struggled to shield herself from the deluge. She was struggling with her umbrella,a frail defense against the tempest, threatened to be wrenched from her grasp. In that fleeting moment of vulnerability, a strong hand descended, anchoring her trembling frame. Roy, with a swift and gentlemanly move, emerged from the storm, steadied her faltering weapon with a gentle touch. Their eyes met, a shared spark igniting amidst the downpour. Laughter, like raindrops on a windowpane, danced between them, a touch of embarrassment, was the first drop in a pond that would soon overflow.
Their meetings became a monsoon ritual. The same quaint little café, the same pitter-patter of rain on the tin roof, and the same inexplicable comfort in each other’s company. Their conversations ranged from the mundane to the profound, the laughter to the silent understanding.
Jasmine's strokes of brushes painted the canvas in every hues and with sweet intoxicating voice her music floated in the air.
Roy's mind and heart weaved beautiful tapestry of stories after their frequent meetings.
Both seemed to be inspirations for each other.
One afternoon, was a somber canvas painted with the relentless strokes of rain. As the rain lashed against the windowpane, Roy found courage. He confessed his feelings for Jasmine. His words were a gentle storm, as powerful and crashed against Jasmine's heart like waves against a fragile shore.Jasmines world, once ablaze with hues of joy and promise was suddenly cast into an ethereal monochrome. Her eyes, twin pools reflecting the storm outside, filled with silent tears. Like a delicate petal swept away by a tempest, she left without a word, carrying with her a heart burdened by an internal deluge.
The next day, Roy waited for an answer, a reason for Jasmine's emotional turmoil.
"Did she not like him?", "was she engaged to someone else?"
Questions raised within his heart like a heap of mountain while he paced under the huge street lamp.
The world was unusually quiet. No pitter-patter, no gray canvas. There was no Jasmine. A frantic search followed, inquiries made, hopes raised and dashed. The town seemed to have swallowed her without a trace.
A wisp of an old woman, her frail form seemed almost spectral, an apparition from a forgotten time and her eyes holding the wisdom of ages, changed everything. She spoke of a girl named Jasmine, a talented singer, they said, a voice that could soothe savage beasts. But beauty, like mist, clung to her for a fleeting moment.
Jasmine’s heart was shattered when the man she loved betrayed her, stealing not just her life but also her hope. It is said she still wanders in the twilight, her soul aching for a love so pure it could pierce the veil between life and death. A love she fears she may never find again.

"Jasmine". The name carved into the old stone felt like a knife in Roy's heart. Her grave was a lonely place, shaded by a sad, weeping willow tree. Roy knelt by the grave, his heart aching. .The sweet smell of jasmine flowers filled the air, a painful reminder of the love they once shared.
He thought of all the happy times they’d had together, and the pain of losing her was almost too much to bear.
Rain began to fall, big, heavy drops that mixed with Roy's tears. he world outside was grey and gloomy, just like his life without Jasmine.
The rain kept falling, like it was crying too, for the end of their incomplete love story.....
