Broken Hearts

Dear heart, 

You know many people loved you, wanted you... But you didn't loved them back. Sometimes, falling in love with a person is not in our hands. We don't get to choose whom we fall for. Sometimes, we don't fall for people who fall for us. And sometimes, we don't want people in our lives who want us in theirs. We often fall for people who don't fall back for us... We want people who don't want us back. And that's okay. Because, sometimes we don't know or get to decide for whom we fall. It's our heart that naturally falls for someone. And in the process of falling and not falling we break hearts of people who want us... We also break hearts of ourselves by wanting people who don't want us... And the cycle goes on. Still we can't blame anyone for not falling for us or can't blame ourselves for not falling for people who wanted us... because it's completely out of our hands. And while many people may think that getting the person whom they wanted to spend their lives with could have changed their lives

Most people think that their lives would have been different if the person for whom they had fallen would also have fallen for them and wanted them in their lives... but that's not true. Everyone is complete within themselves and can have a complete life of their dreams even if they don't get the person with whom they have dreamt of living their lives. And while not falling for someone who fell for you is not a mistake, but acting like you have fallen for someone when you haven't and giving them false hopes is a mistake for which you will have to pay. So, never ever give someone hopes that you have fallen for them when you haven't. Let people who have fallen for you know the truth, rather than comforting them with false hopes and actions. While knowing you haven't fallen for them may hurt them for a while, but not letting them know your intentions and playing with their hearts will remain a forever scar in their lives.
