Introduction

"YOU HAVE RUINED OUR WORLD" That's what the ancestors (the readers) had done. And there is one word to describe that. Which is global Warming. Global warming overwhelmed our world just as it was predicted. But that was not it. The rich were said to have escaped. Rockets were built for the rich but the remaining were to sit and dutifully die. Some of us were smart enough to adapt to the ground. Yeah, we lived underground. But we watched our people, our species die. None of the rich survived. We found the ravaged shuttle. But, frankly, why would we survivors care? The rich abandoned us and they died because no one could do their dirty deeds for them. We lived in dome-like structures that descended underground but the dome bit interjected outward where the water was still conditioning the earth. Read on to figure out the hardships and new adaptations in this new world. Not to mention the deaths.

Chapter- Not Alone

" ITS FUNNY ABOUT HOW YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE ALONE THE WHOLE TIME."  We were never alone. No, I'm not talking about god. Most of us lost hope in god when the storm ravaged our world. No, I'm talking about what caused the deaths that you will read about. Let's get back to the story.

Whoever survived was spread across the whole world. We formed tribes. Humans are social beings we can't survive alone. But this particular tribe I am going to talk about is not the first one to face such threats and deaths. Many other tribes died out because of the same recurring wounds but no one figured out how. Until my mother and Grandfather.

A knock sounded on the door. If anything the knock was more of a thump. Like a body hitting the door. Heavy heaving was heard from the other side of the underground passage. Sayria looked for confirmation from Robert to open the door. He slowly nodded his head and said,

"Open the door."

Sayria could see that Robert was anxious. He was as scared as Sayria. She, pushed the handle downwards, her heart thumping hard against her rib cage. At 3 in the night who would come to their camp? Why were they breathing so heavily? Were they friends? Or foes?Sayria through the door open, to see a woman around 32 ish with white hair, and black eyes. Blood painted her hairline. She looked clammy and mad. Her eyes danced out of focus. A malicious smile etched on her blood-stricken face. Blood coated her formerly white shirt and trousers. Suddenly the woman's eyes rolled into her head. She fell into Sayria's arms. Robert rushed over and grabbed the woman's hands while Sayria took the woman's legs, they struggled to drag her into the infirmary. Somewhere along the walk to the infirmary, Sayria realised that the woman was pregnant. Sayria called out to Robert.

"She's pregnant!"

"Oh lord! I'll get savanna!"

Robert rushed into the sleeping quarters. Sayria measured the woman's heart rate. She was fading and needed immediate help. Savanna rushed into the infirmary. Pulling on gloves as she steadied the woman on the bed. She told Sayria.

"Go out and wake up Veronica!"

"Okay."

Sayria walked out with thoughts whirling in her reeling mind. By that time everyone had woken up because the woman was screaming madly. Veronica was in the midst of the questioning faces. Syria briefed Veronica on what was going on. Veronica went into the infirmary. In the crowd, there was a man. To be more precise the man was my grandfather, he went by the name Kanyaka. A bit of his subconscious was fixated upon the current situation but the rest of his mind was still grieving the loss of his wife, Anaya. She had white hair and high cheekbones. She was a bit pretty.

That's when Robert nudged Kanyaka. He whispered

"That's Anaya in the infirmary."

"What?!?" Asked Kanyaka in surprise and anguish.

"She survived………she's pregnant"

Robert smiled.

Everything stopped for a moment.

She was back. Anaya survived. A tear rolled down Kanyaks's cheek. The love of his life survived! While he continued to think about her, the screams from the infirmary abruptly stopped. Kanyaka realized this only a minute later. He ( being the optimist he was) ran into the infirmary jumping to the best conclusion. He thought that Anaya had given birth! He threw the door to the infirmary open, blinded by his joy. But the only thing he saw was blood. And a murderer.

Chapter- Deaths

"EACH ONE OF YOU CREATURES HAS DUG YOUR OWN GRAVE. NOW WE ONLY NEED TO BURY THE BODIES NOW" Those lines are one I hear all too often. I might have rushed this through. I'm on the run, but to any survivors, more death is to come. Brace yourselves. But to the others who just want to read my journal for fun, I'll continue the past.

2 bodies lay lifeless. One man was in the room, and a man Kanyaka did not ever really pay attention to the man in the room. My grandfather ran over to his wife. Blood pilled around her. But she looked as if she was around 75 years old. Wrinkles stretched over her face and neck. Her eyes held decades of wisdom in them. She looked at peace.

The abnormality was that Anaya was 34 years old. Kanyaka rasped out,

"No Anaya. You left me once, I can't let you leave again. Please stay."

The damage was already done. She lay dead. While Kanyaka spent time trying to save an already dead person he could have saved Savana who was on the verge of death. Her shoulder was broken.

While this incident played out people started piling into the room. In their minds, they saw my grandfather and Anaya having a tearful reunion with a baby's cries filling the air. Yes, they did see a reunion. A reunion of a dead woman and a man not willing to let go.

Robert's smile evaporated the second he saw the scene. But Robert did not see dead Savannah and dead Anaya, he saw a murderer, The other man in the room had a scalpel which was half swallowed in blood. He was smiling the exact way Anaya did when she darkened the tribe's doorstep. The man was a nurse. He was assisting Savannah. One thing was clear in Robert's head, it was that this man was a threat to their society. Robert went over and tackled this man down to the floor. Others immediately piled over the man, once he was constrained they dragged him out. Robert asked their chief who was standing right next to him,

"Where are we taking him?"

She replied darkly,

"Above land."

Often the words Above land would be an ideal threat but when you are living in such a world this is the worst threat someone could have gotten. You see, as I vaguely mentioned the water still ravaged our planet. That's the whole reason we still lived underground.

Robert nodded sombrely.

Meanwhile, Kanyaka realised that there was no bringing her back but he vowed to avenge her. We all know that these sorts Of vows never worked.

Chapter- torn between heart and head.

"ONE LAST DEATH, ONE LAST ONE, THAT OF THE QUEEN. AND THEN I RISE."

Okay, now this is going to be hard, I am in the midst of the battle. She has to die. She can't come back to this world. Survivors, by the time you guys read this story we might be gone, I'm leaving the knife in your possession. Back to the past.

Kanyaka was pulled into his dorm by his best friend, Naka. The poor man had first lost his wife only to meet her again, just to see her die. Naka was considered an outsider,

The term means a person who normally has to risk their life when we tend to run out of food by getting it from the land. Naka was a swift swimmer. He had brown hair and green eyes.

Kanyaka was beyond tears. Beyond hysterics. He just sat in his room with Naka. In silence.

Naka asked,

"Do You want anything?"

"I want Anaya back."

Naka nodded sombrely. He left the room. On his way though he encountered something. Something that caused Ananya's Death. But I am here to talk about Kanyaka, not Naka, you will find out about him soon enough. Kanyaka lay down on his bed, he flew away, to a different world, where she lived, where his children lived. Where the world never ceased to exist. Where they could raise children in a place where they faced no threat. A place where there was an excess of resources to live. A place where life would flourish.

Who knows how many hours flew by while Kanyaka re-lived memories, that were never his. A scream pierced the place. The pain echoed around the whole tribe's house. That snapped Kanyaka out of his comfort.

Chapter- You are not going to go far kid.

"AVENGE MY DEATH DARLING, MAKE HER PAY. SEND HER BACK TO THE PLACE SHE BELONGS TO.'

Kanyaka zipped past the room he heard the scream from, the voice was awfully familiar. It was …………. Naka's!!! Kanyaka threw the door open, for a second he did not really see anything until he slowly moved his head towards the right of the room, where the blood lay.

A pool of blood encircled Naka's body, his eyes wide open, but the color of his eyes was not the usual light green, it was now a bright orangish, almost yellow. And a huge gash garnished his side. His blue shirt was covered by blood by now, it was obvious that he lost too much blood by now. Kanyaka staggered to the right of the room where he continued to stare at the body. he said out to himself something that read along the lines,

"What did I do for whoever is killing these people to target the people I know? What did I do?" A drawling voice responded,

"Ask about what you did not do."

Kanyaka caught by surprise, looked at the body, from where the voice came.

A small warning before you read past this part, all this gets a lot more complicated from this point onwards. Even though I don't understand everything yet, I have to rush past this bit because if I don't, my people will die, and one death is she needs to rise. Moving forward:-

Something did not register with Kanyaka, was it possible that what he was seeing was the truth? How could the blood be reduced? He slowly knelt down, Naka's eyes were closed, his mouth was slightly open and the gash was slowly sticking itself together. Could it be that Naka was given a second chance? That's exactly what Kanyaka must have thought, Naka's eyes opened up wide. To show the pupil had dilated, and the eye colour was now light orangish what had this ………… this creature, or being done to Naka?

On Naka's face now was the exact grin, that Anaya had when she darkened the tribe's doorstep. It was there one second and gone the next, the next Naka was looking up questionably. His eye colour is back to usual. He looked exactly the same except for the rip in his shirt in the side that showed, a small scar, which was fading now too.

Before Kanyaka as he at the beginning should have shouted. The screams for help. Because none of this was right. And it was definitely not something good that was happening,

Chapter- Food Chain.

"THE ONE MAN WHO KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON TRIED TO WARN US, BUT WE IGNORED HIM, NOW HE LIES DEAD."

This is the first cryptic message which will make sense to you now. I have two other journals with the rest of our stories written in them you will find them in the greenest part of the earth. This will all make sense when you get the remaining journals. We are going to die. It's obvious, our fate is sealed. Just like the fate of My Grandfather and his tribe was, remember, no one except the reader of this journal now knows what happened.

People pilled into the room, in a hurry to see what the huge commotion was about. They found out, that's for sure.

Robert asked looking at Kanyaka,

"What happened?"

"Listen, this man in front of us is not Naka, he is ………………………………. He is just not human. Please do SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!"

Robert now confused because looking at Naka he seemed okay asked,

"Kanyaka, are you okay?"

"NO! Nothing is okay! What are you still doing standing there? Do Something! HE WILL KILL US ALL!!!!"

The chief of the tribe pushed against lthe tribe and stood right in front of Kanyaka.

"Chief! You Must believe me! I've been with this tribe for 7 years, you know that I am not lying."

"Escort him back to his dorm, lock the whole room up."

She said mirthfully.

She and Naka took a split second and connected eyes, he nodded at her she nodded back.

Kanyaka was wrestled away from the crowd, his screams of warning echoing off the walls of the dome. In the chief's head though there was one last thing she had to teach her tribe. Respect for more Advanced beings. If Humans were on the top of the Food Chain, then they would be knocked down. Because half of the tribe was already infested.

A person from the crowd that had squeezed into the room screamed,

"There's blood on the floor, how do you explain that."

The chief looked at Naka, she had done her part now it was time for him to do his.

"Kanyaka tried to kill me, he was clearly not in his right mind, he kept shouting something about me, being an imposter. And then the cat, Morrison got hit instead of me. Her body is still here."

He said pointing at the dead cat's body that was half concealed behind a chair in the room.

"That's all for today people, get back to sleep I want to go talk to Naka."

Said the chief.

I don't know what happened in their conversation. But I do know about how they all died.

Chapter- See you in Journal Number 2

"REVENGE IS ON THE WAY. EVERY DEATH BRINGS ME HAPPINESS, AND I GROW MORE POWERFUL, COME ON RAMLAAH, TRY AND STOP ME."

I will try to stop her even if I die in the process, even when I die in the process, she will not rise, if I go down, she comes down with me. No mercy to either party.

That night Kanyaka removed his only weapon a gun, from his ancestral home, he had grabbed it just before the beginning of the end. Kanyaka kept the gun by his side. He knew they would be coming for him next, whatever demonic creatures they were.

He did not sleep, he just could not fall into a sweeter world only to be ripped back into this place. This shithole, where living was a struggle, but he would keep struggling. He could not give up it was not in his genes.

At somewhat 3;20 in the morning a person entered Kanyaka's room. Slowly. Kanyaka himself did not notice until the man stood right above his bed, his eyes boring into Kanyaka's soul. The funny thing I still never figured out, is their eyes, how did they change colour? Naka's Eyes were yellow.

Naka not knowing that Kanyaka was well and Awake drove his knife downwards. Kanyaka rolled off the beat, his heart thumping, the knife hit the pillow next to him, and Kanyaka held his gun with trembling arms.

Naka grinned and pleasantly rolled his knife around in his hand, he walked around the room, he smiled, and said,

"You brought a gun to a knife fight."

"You brought a knife to a gunfight Naka. Wake up, this is not you. Whatever, the creature has done this………… it's not right."

Naka's calm composure changed, his voice started to rise,

"Oh, so killing off most of our people, polluting the environment dragging animals, and plants with you down is right? IS IT!?!?!?!"

Kanyaka remained silent, at last, he chocked out the words

"This Is Not You!"

"Obviously, we lived in the background peacefully. You naive Humans did not even know we existed. Until. Until we wanted revenge. so now we kill and kill until your race is wiped out, if you guys thought you all could drag us down with you well think again. Humans will die. we will RULE."

Kanyaka held his gun with trembling hands, he could not bring himself to pull the trigger This person was his friend. Or at least the body of his friend. he inhaled trying to get himself under control, tears threatened to fall. he said,

"What have you become, my sweetest friend."

"Naka is dead. you saw him die. I would never associate myself with the filth that ruined my planet. now die."

"if that is so, then I won't go down without fighting."

"you will try."

Naka/ the creature that killed Naka and took control of his body's form changed, it grew bigger and broader, black colour fur inching out of the shirt it was wearing, claws at the hands grew bigger, the green irises which Naka had possessed faded and became orange, the body soon had only black coloured fur.

Kanyaka's eyes widened in shock what was this supernatural creature? why was he doing this?

then the body of Kanyaka's old friend fell to the ground. now what remained was death himself, the Black Jacket.

Kanyaka snapped to his senses, he pushed himself off his petrified stance he pulled the trigger of the gun, feeling no remorse. but the bullet never hit. because by that time, Kanyaka was already dead.

I don't know yet how he died, and at the rate this battle is going I might never know. we are going to die.

blood splattered around the room, the creature slipped back into Naka's body, his dead body, how did he do that? I really have no clue. the creature left the room. Confident that it would emerge as a winner.

Epilogue - the whole tribe was killed. long gashes along the side of the bodies, all 20 people died in less than 5 days, the worst thing was that they never found out what caused all the deaths what was the supernatural force behind it? I figured out though, that when you find the next journal you will share the secret I took to my grave. When you reach the next book, you will be alone. no one else will be there in this world except Animals. I don't have the privilege of saying "I will meet you later." because I never will, be careful, they might be looking for you.
