Nature's Inspiration
Nature's Inspiration
A yellow tint filled up the sky as the night bloomed into morning. The clouds bestowed it with the beauty of tranquility. Yet, the serenity of this morning sky was completely peculiar to the inhabitants of a small village on the mountainous slopes of the Andes. The youth had been seen playing with liquid water and on a contemporary, the water had been in liquid state even after its contact with the chilly frosty snow. It was feared that history would repeat itself. The cold mornings had always embraced the warm petite bodies of the villagers with the brumal and frosty morning breeze. Their vision would always be crowded by the surreal colours of nature, yet they had experienced the vilest temper of it. Global warming had dealt the final blow to its temper and ever since, this surreal gift of nature was never the same.
Any resemblance to the traumatic experience was not an auspicious event, for their heart would still cower it and hide in the shadows of the manipulative emotions that it had created. Above their heads was exactly the thing that they had resented, the day when the incident had first taken place. The warm and sunny morning had won over the hearts of villagers, yet a minor tension was flying with air for the winter season was over. The snow had started to melt, and people rushed over with pots and utensils to have a taste of fresh liquid water from the snow capes. Scarcity was never a problem since they had been surrounded by water all year long, yet they had never been able to drink water over 10 degrees Celsius. Out of the blue, a huge flood broke into their homes and swept many of them in the nearby Amazon River. Screams and terror sowed down the seeds of trauma in their heart. Tears of hatred, terror and losing a loved one united with the water of the stated river.
The rescue team arrived too late at the scene and in the blink of an eye, half of the village had sunk down like the Titanic. The remaining victims were rescued and were transferred to a nearby village in Quito, Ecuador. The scarcity of water was a major problem in Quito that made the headlines of the news once in a week at least. From a village with vicinity water bodies to an alien area with scarcity of the blue liquid was not fancied by them. Moreover, they would always be gazed upon with the feeling of pity. Global Warming had snatched away their home, their motherland. To avenge the innocence of their motherland, they wanted to prevent the growth of this Lucifer. With the help of several ambitious personnel of a nearby organisation, they decided to spread awareness regarding the effects of Global warming through the virtual world where everyone was connected. The awareness was a success, and they now currently are helping over a million village with this issue. New canals were built to supply fresh water and more than a thousand wells were dug by them. The warm and grateful smile on the rescued resident’s faces would always encourage them to help even more people.
