Just a dream

Her body collapses in the mud

Remains of buildings scattered

In front

Screams faintly heard in the distance

" I can't believe this"

Shaking her head in disbelief.

Her eyes rest on a puddle

Wiping the tears

from her fears

In her reflection

A flock of birds

Flew over her

Casting a shadow

She places her hands over her ears

sounds of the crows

Overwhelmed her

She slowly stands

Eyes closed shut

"Aaaaaaahhh!"

She screams drowning out the crows, until they we're gone.

Her voice echoing,

the ground began to shake

Knocking her to her knees

Sounds of buildings

Collapsing

She looks ahead to see

The ocean

Rolling up it's sleeve

"Oh my God"

Her eyes filled with tears

The wave rushed towards her

She struggles to her feet

Attempting to run

She hears a voice

singing her name

Whispers of

"You belong with us"

As the harmony

She sees the shadow of the waves

Building up behind her

Feeling defeated

She stops

The water engulfing her body.

She wakes up

Trembling

Inhaling deeply

Catching her breath

drench in

Cold

Sweat

"It was just a dream"
