Connor walked by the comic shop nearest to his house, hoping for the latest copy of his all-time favorite graphic novel- 'Stars in sight'- to pop up in one of the book stands. Just as luck may have it, not only did the book arrive but also the only copy he could view from his place was the last one in store. As he hurriedly glanced sideways, he spotted his rival trotting gleefully from his far left. Out of nowhere, he felt the sudden urge to buy the last piece and, in a matter of seconds, found himself holding the latest copy of 'stars in sight.'

He mischievously watched the boy walk toward his direction and just as he was about to witness him go inside, his rival marched forward -much to the audience's expectations - and began striking up a conversation with a lady outside the shop. Connor sighed as he watched the other jog down the street.

As he gradually began to head back home, he spotted his rival again-this time, with a book in his hand. From what he could infer, Connor realized that it was indeed that same comic he was holding in his hand. But how did that happen?

Confused, he walked down the street once again- hoping to find an explanation. And there was his answer- standing in front of the counter of his favorite shop. The lady, taking no notice of his confused stares at her, placed the books on the counter as she hummed to some music she was listening to through her headphones.

He wanted to run toward her and demand an explanation, but someone beat him to it. That someone was a burglar who grabbed his gun from his pockets and ordered the lady to hand over her money. Paralyzed with fear, she did as she was told, and Connor could do nothing but stay glued to the ground and watch the robbery take place in front of his own very eyes.

Just as the burglar was ensured that all the money in the register was handed over to him, he attempted to flee but Connor was right next to the exit and the boy knew he'd be the next victim. As he had predicted, the robber demanded him to empty his pockets and as he looked down to do so, he heard the burglar grunt. He looked up just in time to see the lady save his life and within a fraction of seconds, he saw the police arrive.

Whenever people ask him what prompted him to be an architect, he'd narrate this story to them.
