Experienced intellectuals are known to initiate revolutions. Their views may stimulate and inspire the youth to their calling. When senior citizens raise their voice against any wrongdoing, that young people feel encouraged to raise their voices too.

The elderly can play a significant role in volunteering for different sectors like education, disaster management, social welfare, health, employment, and government policies. The most precious asset the aged possess is their vast experience of knowledge gathered through experience. They may also inspire youths as a good consultant for all categories of industries and service sectors. It is a blessing that the Pune University (SPPU ) has begun the process of harnessing the intellectual assets of Pune’s elderly for the twin good of self and society.
