Treat’em Equally

What happens when one has a ‘favourite child’! Character building begins at home. The new generation is so fraught with pressures, hyper-expectations, being witness to family discord, stress and anxieties that parenting becomes even more challenging. Rearing a child can be tricky. We learn as we experience its many facets. Some parents value their child as a source of happiness, some others look at it as an opportunity to realize their own dreams.

 

But the fact remains that our attitude towards life can shape and inspire our children in their own life journeys. Parents should devote time, attention, emotional support towards their children for their all- round development. Most importantly, they should make their children feel important and help them evolve into self- reliant human beings. And this holds true for all offspring. Let us not pit one child against the other.

 

As they grow up, children will have enough and more opportunities to be competitive when they step into the world outside. Let the home be a safe space where they are loved and cherished equally. Else, both the kids will be negatively affected due to partiality in treatment.
