A Week's Wait

The royal guards felt something burning next to their house, they ran to see, when they reached they saw pregnant Meera sleeping on the floor. They first switch off the stove remove the lid from the cooker and splash water on her face. She woke up hurriedly, the guards rebuked her for being so careless. She asked them for forgiveness.

 She slowly took up the lid of the cooker. . . .

"Everything is burnt she sadly said!

what will I eat now, she whispered. . . . . . "

 The first guard said, lady don't worry I will broing some vegetables for you, Meanwhile the royal commander arrives and asked to meet sMeera, the first guard removes off the handcuffs from hands and feet. They helped her to get up slowly. The fourth guard opens the iron gate and the commander enters into the cage . . . . . . !!

" I have brought a good news for you? Meera asked, "what is the news? "

The commander said, lady the king granted your freedom after one week, It means you will have to stay here for only one week. ". . . .

 Tears filled the eyes and overflows down the cheeks. She said finally I can meet him . . . ! The third guard said. . . . Veer Singh Rathore. . . . is still alive my lady? Meera said, we are meant for eternity, she paused for a second when the first guard bows down his head and asked her permission to say something . . . . . . .

Meera laughed, my own father kept me captivated for marrying his rival king's son, his father too threw him out of his kingdom .

Meera asked, May I ask something to king's royal commander?

Of course lady, Could you bring some rose petals and turmeric for me?

 She smiled again and said, Do you know why I have been captivated?

The guard said, because the king's ordered?

She smiled again, Do you know why the king punished his own daughter, the princess of this kingdom?

 The guards looked down and said nothing! 

I have been punished for love, do you think does I deserve such cruel punishment?

 The guards remained silent. . I know there is no answer but my father has to give the answer not to me but to the almighty God. She turned back and looks outside through the window . She again turned front and looked down to see her toes, but couldn't see, she smiled then she touched her belly tried to feel the baby and whispered in the baby's ear "A week wait only . . . . "
