She rises from the sands of Egypt, slowly but surely. The forgotten princess, the queen of the common people who once sacrificed herself in dark magic for the River Nile to flow again. As I stand here rooted, I can't help but worship the dark-skinned goddess with reverence. I see golden sands falling from her body as her body reconstructs. My eyes are clouded as if I'm inside a tunnel, and she's at the end of the tunnel. As she's brought back to life, I feel my life being drained away. Are you asking why? Because she's being resurrected while I'm being sacrificed to be her vessel. Are you asking why I am so stupid? I'll answer it in a single word: "love". I was blindly in love with one of her followers, the supposed lover of mine brought me here by giving me false hopes. I knew something was wrong, but I was blind in love to see things clearly. I gave my consent to take part in this ritual so that she could be resurrected. I was betrayed in the name of love. Hence, as I'm on the brink of my death, I swear upon the great sands of Egypt that I will not let any human emotions blind me ever again if there's a second chance at life out there... As I die with this oath, I peer back at the man who killed me.
