A Mother's Love

Riya was a cheerful and bright girl who loved to draw and paint. She had a special bond with her mother, who always encouraged her to pursue her passion. Riya's mother was a single parent who worked hard to provide for her daughter. She often sacrificed her own needs and comforts to make sure Riya had everything she needed. One day, Riya came home from school with a flyer in her hand. It was an invitation to participate in a painting competition at the local art gallery. The winner would get a scholarship to study at a prestigious art school. Riya was overjoyed and ran to show the flyer to her mother."Mom, look! This is my chance to become a famous artist! Can I please join the competition?" Riya asked excitedly. Her mother smiled and hugged her. "Of course, my dear. You have a wonderful talent and I'm so proud of you. Go ahead and register for the competition. I'll support you in any way I can."Riya thanked her mother and ran to her room to start working on her painting. She decided to paint a portrait of her mother, as a tribute to her love and sacrifice. The day of the competition arrived and Riya submitted her painting along with the other contestants. She waited nervously for the results, hoping that her painting would impress the judges. Finally, the announcer called out the name of the winner. It was Riya! She couldn't believe it. She ran to the stage and received her prize, a certificate, and a cheque. She looked at the audience and saw her mother clapping and crying with joy. Riya dedicated her victory to her mother and thanked her for being her inspiration and motivation. She hugged her mother and whispered, "I love you, mom. You are the best gift I ever had."Her mother kissed her forehead and said, "I love you too, my darling. You are my life."
