In 2019, I joined another school. This school was different, yet amazing. The hallways were clean and there were lockers lined up on both sides. This new school was not as huge as my previous school; but this school had a truckload of kids. I found it easy to cope up with my academics and make new friends at this school. Dance has always been my favourite past-time. The best part about Grove High was its dance team that kept competing at national level competitions. I got into the dance team and made my way towards the first place. I also discovered that I had a liking towards sports and that I was good at it. After all, I was good at jumping into different schools over the years.

In the month of November, I organised a little party for the friends that I made at this school. These girls were not like any other ordinary girls. They were smart, sweet and they would not leave me whenever I would get into trouble. Little did I know that this would turn into an unforgettable event. I neatly placed some snacks on the table and cleaned up the house until it shone as bright as the sun.

It was soon time for my first party ever! The best part was that it was just me and my closest buddies. I hopped into my gorgeous red dress and paired them with my polished-white sneakers. I rushed into the kitchen and made my way out with a box of chocolates and a bag of chips. My mother called me and told me that she would be back tomorrow night instead of today due to bad weather conditions. I cheered in my head but put on a sad face so that my mom would not doubt me. I sat with my friends and we talked until the doorbell rang.

I did not order pizza! I went to open the door. A herd of teenagers walked through the door. Most of them carried snacks and large bottles of soft drinks along with them. The "fashionistas" were up to no good. They just stood still to look pretty. The geeks sipped on mango juice while they were actually indulged in a serious conversation about math. MATH? IN A PARTY? WHY DID THEY EVEN COME HERE IF THEY WANTED TO STUDY? The sports guys were just sports guys. They went around the house looking for trouble or opportunities to start a fight. It looked like everyone was enjoying the party until the food fight began. The food fight ruined Lily's designer dress; the most popular girl at Grove High.

The party ended by midnight and everyone loved me by the end of the day! I was all over social media pages! This party did not turn out to be what I expected it to be like, but I surely did learn a lot from this party. Life will send people to you when it is the right time and when you need them the most. Things might not go exactly the way they were planned out to be. It can be smaller or greater. But it is up to you to cherish those moments while they last. You may be popular in high school. But never let that define you! You can create your own happiness and cherish your moments.
