A Gallant Collegiate Girl

Once an OPS Officer was living with his spouse and a daughter in a sub-urban area where he was posted newly on transfer. He was residing in Police Quarters. His daughter's name was Jyoti who was an Ist year Science student at the nearby college. As Jyoti was the only daughter of his father, Sankar the Reserve DSP, she had got inspiration from his father to undergo the training of martial arts in a local school. So every day she was plying to the centre in the morning by his scooty.

After getting training for 3 years Jyoti was thorough in Karate and other martial arts. She was also a good athlete of her college and the most intelligent student among her classmates. So she was immensely appreciated by all. Sankar was also trying his best to make Jyoti an all-rounder and dynamic. She also was helping her mom with domestic duties during holidays. Simultaneously she passed Bsc. and Karate training successfully with distinction. So her dignity as a girl student increased profusely in her college as well as in the social sphere.

One day an incident occurred whereby Ms Jyoti became heroin in a drama on the world stage. That day was a ceremonial one on the occasion of New Year. All the students and teachers were busy watching a theatre arranged by senior students openly in the clubhouse of the college. Jyoti was also present in that function. The theatre was over at 11 pm and Jyoti had to return alone to the police quarters situated six km. away. That night was dark due to the absence of the moon. Only street lights were on. For the cold atmosphere of a winter night, local people were in their houses. But Jyoti had a little bit of misgiving as she was a virgin. There may be a risk on her entity as she was travelling alone.

Approximately after ten minutes, her apprehension came true that some persons were following her with their bikes. As she was an expert martial artist she wanted to have an unprecedented experience in her life. So she stopped and waited for her followers seriously. She saw five numbers of her senior college mates who were notoriously famed for hooliganism and rape. While the goons came closest to her she asked them, " Who are you? Why are you following me so far? What is your intention? " One of the ruffians retorted, " Your handsome figure attracts us. We want to enjoy you on this wintry night. If you at your sweet will surrender yourself before us we can do no harm to you. Otherwise, we must be bound to apply force anyway. " Jyoti became very upset and reactive. So she told them boldly, " OK you are welcome but one by one without deviation. If you deviate from my advice you can never return home alive. Mind it, dear chums. "

Accordingly all the goons one by one approached Jyoti to molest. But were defeated by her forceful charging. So they became more and more aggressive and began to molest Jyoti. Then she was compelled to try a fatal charge on them. After five minutes of combat with them, the goons lay flat on the road. Their limbs were broken and they were crying in the wilderness. Then she informed her father, DSP Sankar, through mobile. So Mr Sankar sent the night patrolling team to the spot. The Inspector, after hearing the details from Ms Jyoti handcuffed those anti-social elements and took them into police custody. Jyoti was glad because of the true utility of her life-saving Karate in the long run and thanked her teacher for the same. The Inspector in charge saluted Jyoti for her masterpiece gallantry as she glorified the names of her dad, the entire police department and her motherland. The next day her valiant deed was highlighted by the media which made her being worthy of a proper Indian lady.
