The Passage of Time
The Passage of Time
As each reluctant day slips into oblivion and fades into darkness,
Having lost the scope for remorse, regrets or belated repentance,
Never will it be possible to garner the departed vanished hours
So don’t squander the precious moments still within your powers.
As life winds intricately through deep canyons, chasms and crevices
Of adversity, anguish, anxiety, and unredeemed, broken promises;
One must harden and steel oneself, not to succumb to the onslaught;,
Having the satisfaction of a battle faced, and to the end well-fought!
