Enough

Enough

Imagine sitting in the middle of the see-saw,

You neither go up,

You neither go down,

Just merely elevated from the ground.

Ever looked at your masterpieces and wondered,

How far you've come from where you have begun?

And yet it is not enough,

For the word of your skills to be far-flung.

Ever looked at your favorite artist and wondered,

How you'd do anything just to stand next to them,

Working with such passion and rigor,

But just not enough to impress them.

Ever practiced night and day?

Hoping you'll be discovered someday?

And those who mocked you, shall clap amazed?

Finally showing the world where your talent lay?

Ever fell flat on your face,

Just before the finish line?

Ever begged for forgiveness,

A little out of time?

Ever yearned for a hanging fruit,

Just millimeters out of reach?

We've all been through a lot,

But never enough to preach.

So don't let that one missing puzzle piece,

Make you blind to the rest of the picture,

With the changing times, who knows?

Maybe that little blank space will hold the answer.
