I Refuse To Quit

So long is the queue,

Fortunate are the few.

Have many stories to brew,

That the destiny drew.

One among the crew,

Far I flew.

But my stars had a different purview.

Nuptial winds blew,

And jolted my wing screw.

Had the threads of togetherness to sew,

Along came the baby and love did accrue.

The kid grew,

It was time for the new,

Uncertain path to hew.

Slowly my mind began to strew,

All the dreams that I wished to pursue.

In the quest, wrong choices were a slew,

Had no clue,

No respite in view.

Quit, gave up, withdrew,

Has never been my hue.

I’m determined to cut thru’

The blocks that will ensue.

Meanwhile I chew,

The veggies in my stew

Because health can’t be sloppy and skew.

My dear ones, Come on, construe!

Isn’t it the story so common between me and you?

Success phew,

Is long due.

But why should I rue, why should I rue?

To aspire and attempt is the key to gain ground, in lieu.
