Someone Like You
Someone Like You

Every time a new poetry rebels out of me,
I smell the previous pages of my journal.
As a tribute to the secrets
Between my pen and the pages,
Shared at the scariest moments,
Whispering a lot of theories about you...
One of them explains the struggle of
My pen, traveling to the
Galaxies of my existence
In search of any word entwined half as hard with my heart
Echoing in my head, twice as loud as your name.
Alas, No luck so far...
Another theory talks about your dislike towards
The world
That is directly proportioned to your Love towards my words
Or maybe me, or both.
They say, sometimes people fall for art,
Sometimes they fall for the artists,
But never both...
In our case, I'd like to believe the imp
ossible!
A similar theory suggests,
That every time my words erratically drool over you
Unleashing more than you could contain,
It makes you skip heartbeats...
That I somehow manage to
Sync with mine,
Just to discover someone like you
In the momentary lapses of the lifeline...
The most affirmed theory however
Declares in bold capitals that
No matter how many combinations of letters you seek
To get rid of me...
There'll always be one
That'll keep me in the lead.
To find you back.
To bring you back.
To write you back...
Between these whispers of my ink and the pages,
In 26 letters, in 26 chances,
In 26 verses,
To rediscover someone like you,
One poem at a time!
