Just Be Yourself

Fidgeting with fingers with downcast eyes,

She said nothing except those silent sighs.

Are only cheerful people can prove as good friends?

Why to shy awkward her nobody friendship's hand lends?

Trying to figure out answers to all whys,

Wondering is everyone really turned deaf to her cries?

She feels as outcast even though people all around, so near;

"Should I change myself or this will continue?" She still fears.

But, how to change one's inherent natural ways?

Should she really need to become 'outgoing' as everyone used to say?

Finally, settled down on being true to herself,

'If someone truly cares, that one will come around' is what she felt.

Now, all set to meet her true friends for lifetime,

Not just someone who'll say goodbye, when time is not right.
