Every Drop Is Important
Every Drop Is Important
Wrinkled soil, parched crops, and bare trees,
Is there anyone listening to their silent pleas?
Daily struggle to fetch life from almost-empty wells,
Travelling far away to have just a handful of rains.
Will it suffice the needs of farm, kids, and cattle at the end?
Whose thirst such small amount can really quench?
Sun is still beating down harshly on this land,
Eyes are glued to the sky in hope that rain will dance.
But, during Monsoon, we all will be again careless,
Will waste life without second thought…once again merciless.
That wasted single-single drop can save every life,
Conserving water daily can help everyone to survive.
Let’s pledge not to be dependent on this fickle weather,
Let’s fight this draught by joining hands together.
