The Great Breakfast Disaster

The Great Breakfast Disaster

I tried to make breakfast, bright and early,
But my frying pan turned all too squirrely.
The eggs did somersaults, bounced off the wall,
And the toast ran screaming down the hall.

The milk jumped out and did a little dance,
While the cereal flew off in a milk-powered lance.
My spoon grew wings and flew out the door,
The jam slipped on itself and hit the floor.

The coffee brewed laughter, the butter went rogue,
The pancakes formed a line, and they started to vogue!
I chased the bacon, it rolled like a ball,
The toaster threw slices against the hall.

My cat wore my hat and my dog ate my shoe,
Even the clock ticked, “I quit! Adieu!”
I waved a white napkin, I called for a truce,
But the kitchen kept plotting — it had no excuse.

I gave up and shouted, “Fine, eat it all!”
The pancakes applauded, the eggs took a call.
At least I survived, though my breakfast was gone,
Next time I’ll eat cereal… in bed with the dawn!
