Running, and running, and running,

Running away from the memories yesterday;

I run from the faces I saw, their words so cunning,

And the promises they make, that lead me astray.

Running away from my problems today;

I look away from my friends and family, turning,

Away from their confrontation, I walk stray.

Running towards tomorrow, again and again;

I sprint to the mysterious day ahead, burning,

Away from everything and everyone else in vain.
