I Love My Country
I Love My Country
I love my country,
We grow together.
All Indians are my brothers and sisters,
So, I wonder why the crime rate is so high?
Hate burns within the loose bonds between us,
And the love among us is a lie.
I love my country and I am proud,
Of its rich and varied heritage.
I’ll stand by, supporting the raging religious fights,
And lie by boasting of my country’s diverse stage.
I shall always strive to be worthy of it,
I shall struggle all day and night with corruption
And laws that exist simply because they should.
I strive to feed off other’s hard work and earn unfair promotions.
I shall give respect to my parents, teachers, and
All the elders and treat everyone with courtesy.
I will make sure they enjoy their last days, in an old age home
Waiting for their kids who won’t return in eternity.
To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion.
In their well being and prosperity alone lies my happiness.
My affection is laced in the way I look down on the poor,
And treat my country with disrespect and complete bitterness.
I love my country,
We fall together.
