Railway Track
Railway Track
We are two parallel lines
Stretched for miles
Ferrying bogies of goods merchandise
People and their dreams
Running through cities valleys
Hills and plain
And at times difficult terrain
The hissing sounds of trains
As they stop and start again
Make us muse about clearing of throat
On a wintry morning
As life restarts after a bit of juggling
Unending rattle and rumble
We have withstood with a smile
<p>For we are conduit to realization of hope
And cannot act otherwise
We act bold and bare our chest
Smooth running from one platform to the other
Is at our behest
They say.... We cannot meet
For we are saddled with differences
But we greet each other
With a robust smile day after day
As we have come to terms with crux of the matter
And so savor each bit
Of this unending sojourn
This being both our journey and destination.
