The Last Sunset
The Last Sunset
The last sunset is not yet
It is just twilight
I can safely bet
Still so much left in me
In the sprawling vistas of life
I want to sip the last drop of nectar in it
Laugh a lot and indulge in happiness
Some quirks some punches
Let me add to my daily routine
To elicit that rainbow effect
Let me stand and stare
Appreciate trees standing tall in glory
As bushes nod to the tunes of the wind
Eager to recount their stories
Let me inhale and feel
Each ounce of the aura of natural splendour
Be it babbles, Twitter or petrichor
Or the soulful renderings of yore
And push asunder ' the last sunset'
To a distant horizon forever.
