On The Shore
On The Shore
Though overshadowed in terror by clouds dark,
Trying to break through the Sun may falter,
Yet never can they fade its spark?
Making the Sunshine better,
Those fleeting clouds pass away back to the black.
Oh! Why squander on those clouds forever,
And forget to cherish what we own now in the rack.
Why hide your smile behind that tear?
Why throw away your bliss packed in a sack?
Why stop speaking afraid of words bitter?
Why stop trying to be better scared of the past’s crack?
In a race of sweets forget the taste of those sweeter?
Together when we can light up all the dark,
All, until the tides carry us off the shore, to peace utter.
