IS SHE FREE?

They say we are finally free,

They say over is the slavery spree,

But Bother! Has anyone ever asked her,

How is she?

They say we are finally free,

Scared to walk at night, then why is she?

They say finally ejected we have terror,

Hides her face then why does she?

They say we are finally free,

Yet she buries her tears in that face full of glee,

Oh! How bullets shatter that divine heart of hers,

Brutally, when they judge for a dress not below the knee.

They say we are finally free,

Unbounded we are to do what our heart desires,

They say there ain’t no fear to flee,

As a prisoner then locked up in this cage, why is she?

Is this what we call “Freedom”?

Is this what we call “Liberty”?

When as criminals she is treated some,

Begging for Equality.
