Dearest Earthling
Dearest Earthling
Alike some games, life is fickle,
Trapped in it is that heart brittle,
Days I recall when joy lived in chasing a beetle,
Days I recall when discontent remained in every trifle,
For no regret to persist, let ‘em all trickle.
Tell it to try a little,
Tell it to fall a little.
Tell it to laugh a little,
Tell it to cry a little.
Tell it to rejoice a little,
Tell it to whine a little.
And when the sun’s to set and you’re back in that cradle,
Forget not to in each person around that cradle, enclose your broadest smile…
