Naive
Naive

What a fool wasn’t I
How deaf can one be?
So blind to see what happens
Vividly in front thee
You did not even hide
How you were using me
Not half a camouflage
Not even a moustache size
Disguise
But I, naïve Girl,
Ignored the
Warning plea’s
From those who
Weren’t blinded
Your faux kindness.
Walked straight in the
Fire you set for me
Although I have avoided
The mere snares
Set by others.
I lulled myself
To sweet oblivion
By the reassuring notion
That I knew you long enough
That age didn’t matter all
That much.
But hunter
Hunts the weakest prey
I should have listened
To warnings that urged me
To stay away.
