My Favourite Things

My favourite things in life are so simple,

Swept by ever lit smile, my face crinkles.

Humming songs with wrong lyrics...dancing funny,

Once gloomy...that day... suddenly turns sunny.

Sketching and spilling colours on the paper,

Waiting for rain showers eagerly to caper.

Strolling in park while enjoying music of nature,

Sitting by the lake and observing God's creation.

Imagining shapes of clouds while lying down,

Admiring how night sky is glowing with stars all around.

Writing calmly while sitting by the window,

Asking that higher one...with inspiration... beautiful words to bestow.

Nothing else can content my heart like these things,

While unwinding my soul...never ending happiness these bring.
