My Daughter

The day I got her in my arms,

Made me realize that my life has given me another chance,

She brought a smile with her,

She became the unbroken chamber of my heart.

When I see her growing now,

I feel the time has turned around,

My youth has come back,

Her giggling and chirping around,

Her dancing and singing aloud,

Fills my soul with inspiring affection.

Her actions make me proud,

Her mischief makes me loud,

But never a day goes when I don't pray,

And teach her to live her life and live it with dignity,

I want to leave with her the legacy of persistence,

I know this world will push her, try to break her,

But she will fight with full resistance,

Her character is her asset

And her firm mind is her perseverance.
