Mother like Teacher

People say it's hard to find a good teacher

In me, she saw my quality feature.

She helped me to grow

Seeds of knowledge she sows.

She worked hard to see me become the topper

Her sweet scolding made me rectify what in me was improper.

Ignoring the scars I gave

She made me learn to be brave.

She saw me smiling, she saw me crying

Even in tough times, she inspired me to keep trying.

My life would not have been as blue

If at each step she would not have saved me from stumbling by giving a clue.

She not only taught me lessons of English

But also never let the fire to succeed extinguish.

I love her from the bottom of my heart

I promise not to break her trust with a dart.

Though the topic for the contest was love, I think being a student a teacher is the one who deserves most of the affection. So a poem dedicated to my teacher who's more than my mom to me.  And for the one who actually taught me to write......
