MONSTER
MONSTER
Sometimes human places create inhuman monsters,
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that
In the process, he does not become a monster,
Oh, monsters are scared,
That's why they're monsters.
Monsters are real and ghosts are real too,
They live inside us,
And sometimes they win,
The scariest monsters are the ones that lurk within our souls,
I believe there are monsters born in the world to human parents.
Ignorance is the womb of monsters,
There are no heroes,
In life, the monsters win,
Beware for I am fearless and therefore powerful,
It's men you should be afraid of not monsters.
What would an ocean be without a monster lurking in the dark?
It would be like sleep without dreams,
Fantasy abandoned by reason produces impossible monsters,
What strange phenomena we find in a great city,
All we need do is stroll about with our eyes open,
Life swarms with innocent monsters.
I ou
ght to be thy Adam but I am rather the fallen angel,
The blunt monster with uncounted heads,
The still-discordant wavering multitude,
Can play upon it,
Welcome to my house,
Come freely,
Go safely,
And leave something of the happiness you bring.
If I am the chief of sinners,
I am the chief of sufferers also,
O, beware, my lord, of jealousy,
It is the green-ey'd monster, which doth mock,
The meat it feeds on,
The world seems full of good men,
Even if there are monsters in it,
There were two kinds of monsters,
The kind that hunted the streets and the kind that lived in your head.
Alone ‒ it is wonderful how little a man can do alone!
To rob a little, to hurt a little and there is the end,
It is true,
We shall be monsters,
Cut off from all the world,
But on that account, we shall be more attached to one another,
Adversity makes men and prosperity makes monsters.
