NAVRATRI DAY 8 - WISHES

If you are a dreamer come in,

If you are a dreamer a wisher a liar,

A hoper a pray-er a magic-bean-buyer,

If you're a pretender come sit by my fire,

For we have some flax golden tales to spin,

Come in!

Come in!

May the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house,

If there's a single lesson that life teaches us,

It's that wishing doesn't make it so,

Sometimes things become possible if we want them bad enough,

But wishes are only granted in fairy tales.

May light always surround you,

Hope kindle and rebound you,

May your hurts turn to Healing,

Your heart embrace Feeling,

May Wounds become Wisdom,

Every Kindness a Prism,

May Laughter infect you,

Your Passion resurrect you,

May Goodness inspire your deepest Desires,

Through all that you reach For,

May your arms never Tire.

Ships at a distance have every man's wish on board,

For some they come in with the tide,

For others they sail forever on the same horizon,

Never out of sight,

Never landing until the Watcher turns his eyes away in resignation,

His dreams mocked to death by Time,

That is the life of men.

Women forget all those things they don't want to remember,

Remember everything they don't want to forget,

The dream is the truth,

Then they act and do things accordingly,

We often confuse what we wish for with what is.

There's no point having wishes if you don't at least try to do them,

Because hope comes from in you, 

Wishes are just magic,

To wish a healthy man to die is the wish from a mind of sickness,

To wish an ailing man to die is the wish of the ambitious,

Don't be in a hurry,

Everything arise in the due time.
