Echo in my Heart

Memories of days gone by,

Echo in my heart with a sigh,

Of a time that once was,

Of memories that never pause.

Nostalgia takes me back,

To moments that I thought would last,

The laughter, the love, the joy,

The innocence of when I was a boy.

The smell of fresh-cut grass,

The sound of a train whistle pass,

The taste of homemade apple pie,

The sight of the stars in the sky.

Though time moves on, and things may change,

The memories remain, in a world that's strange,

Nostalgia gives me hope,

For the good times that we've known.

So I'll close my eyes and reminisce,

On the days of youth, of love and bliss,

And hold on to the memories true,

Of a time that once was, and still shines through.
