Moonlight

I come out when the night is dark,

When speaks not a single stark.

Slowly and steadily I come with the breeze,

Moving the clouds and the trees,

I am not all fair, I am not all white,

I have a lot of glow,

The happy wind around me is always in its flow.

I have a golden aura around me,

Only at selected nights do people see.

I fall on the river bed giving it a different sparkle,

I am lighting to the nightly cacophony who crackle.

I am the white gown of the nights,

I give the whole surroundings a whole new sight.

The oceans and seas are my mirrors and the endless skies my bed,

"Moonlight is the proof that there will be light in the darkness" the old and wise have said.

I am music to the night which is gloomy,

My notes are perfection, and the stars are dear family to me.

My mother is the moon,

To the dark world, she's a boon.

People say the sun is stronger and holy is its sight,

I say "If it's really so - then let it shine the night."

I peep into the jungle bed,

Soar down below the seas,

Traveling all around the earth,

Visiting the heavens, paradise and deadly seas.

Quietly as the day soars by,

I turn into a beautiful lie.

Fading away with the clock' s tik tok,

And the crooning of the morning cock.

As the last stroke of the dawn passes by,

I wave the world a small goodbye.

After the entire day walks away,

And enters the dark paradise,

Slowly I come out when the night is dark,
