The Ramayana

In ancient India, a story was told,

Of a prince, with a heart of gold,

A tale, of love, loss, and war,

The epic saga of Ramayana, we adore.

Prince Rama, with his bow, in hand,

Banished to the forest, by a father's command,

His wife Sita, and brother Lakshmana, by his side,

Together, they journeyed, with faith, as their guide.

In the forest, they encountered, many a test,

From demons and monsters, that did infest,

Ravana, the ten-headed, demon king,

Took Sita, and spread his wings.

With the help of Hanuman, the monkey god,

And an army of monkeys, led by Sugriva's nod,

Prince Rama, marched to Lanka's shore,

To rescue Sita, from Ravana's core.

A war, that shook the earth, did ensue,

With heroes, and villains, alike, to view,

Rama's arrow, and Lakshmana's sword,

Slayed the demons, with an iron chord.

In the end, Rama's victory was won,

Sita, rescued, and the demons, done,

A story, that spoke, of love and sacrifice,

Of faith, courage, and eternal vice.

Ramayana, a tale, of ages old,

A story, of lessons, and wisdom, untold,

Of the triumph of good, over evil's hold,

And the power, of a heart, that's bold.
