Love Darts

These arrows are my efforts, the dart board; your heart

The Cupid in me is playing with love darts

The stony covering it strikes then rebounds and falls

But love is in the core there it fails to stall

And over the years many darts flew

Gradually this Cupid's aspirations grew

But one by one as each dart was brutally repelled

With a heavy heart, all hopes of love fell

But the Cupid in me can never say die

And keeps giving love many a try

Hoping against hope that the dart finds its mark

To once and forever banish the dark in my heart.
