Life of a senior citizen
Life of a senior citizen
Life of a senior citizen
One hell of a pain.
Living in the past, just vain.
Inflation, inflammation, wealth erosion
Just enough pension but lots of tension, from family less attention
Weak digestion, constipation, high sugar and pressure lacking in Memories to treasure
More of grey hair and cells less
Joints creaking, pee leaking, no more a king
Stiff back, a problem one can’t crack
Elusive sleep, inside you weep,
Monthly bill gives you the chill.
Can’t find the glasses, no where is the phone
Key to all this, where did I misplace?
Has one become wiser, or vice'r
Muttering to one self, does anything matter?
In the twilight hour, a drink you pour, to the life, awaiting the knock on the door!
