You ever felt so alone

As you lie down on your bed

In the darkness of the night

Eyes blinded by your tears

Wondering why they lied?

Why did they claim to be there for you?

Why did they claim to be your best friend?

Why did they act like such a good friend,

To it all only be a lie?

Why did they lie and never text you?

Why did they lie and never call you?

Why did they lie and never sit by you

In lunch, on the bus, during class, outside

They never seem to be keeping their promise..

But then you blame, your neediness

Thinking you're just overexerting

Thinking they just humans with lives

Of their very own..

Right?

Well time will only tell

Just like actions can

And it can be confusing

When they say, in genuine

That they care, that they love

That they never gonna leave

But when that time comes

They're not even close?

So they leave you on read,

And never text back,

And you're just going to take

That bowl of B.S.

Because that's what people do

They be making promises

They be lying to your face

Cause in the very end

We're only there for ourselves

And when we hang by a branch
